SELF-SUPPORTING CABLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-supporting cable easy to extract a branch line and easily connected to a terminal. SOLUTION: For the self-supporting cable formed by integrally extruding and coating a supporting wire 1A supporting tension in a longitudinal direction and a cable core 1B parallel with the supporting wire with each other, and notching an excessive part as a window part 1D so as to leave a joint part 1C at a desired pitch p2 in the longitudinal direction of the jointed wire part, the cable core 1B is formed by SZ twisting of a strand 2 for communication, where, a pitch p1 of SZ inversion positions R of the SZ twisting is equal to the pitch p2 of the joint part 1C, and the SZ inversion positions R are located at the position almost corresponding to the joint portions 1C in the longitudinal direction.
