METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PROTECTING PERSONAL INFORMATION, PROGRAM, AND RECORDING MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a personal information protective method capable of surely storing information such as policies and references of P3P at proper timings. SOLUTION: This method comprises a step for registering the information on policies derived from a server which describes the handling standard for the personal information of users acquired from clients and preference information derived from the clients which defines the contents of personal information provided from the clients to the server according to the information on policies which are related to each other, and a step for transmitting, to the terminals of an organization which performs the collating treatment of the preference information and policy information, the preference information acquired from the clients at specified intervals and the policy information acquired from the server and the registered preference information and policy information on the clients and the server extracted from the storage means, or executing the collating treatment and outputting the results of the collation to an output device.
