Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a luminous reflective liquid crystal display in which light incident from the transparent substrate side is reflected with definite reflectivity. SOLUTION: The reflective liquid crystal display comprises a pixel composed of a transistor Tr formed on a semiconductor substrate 4 and pixel electrodes 71, 72 connected to the transistor Tr via a light shielding layer 20 wherein these members are successively laminated. A plurality of the pixels are two-dimensionally formed in a matrix. Furthermore, there is a gap with a specified width on the upside of the pixel electrodes 71, 72 and the display comprises the transparent substrate 28 with transparent common electrodes 27 stuck thereto placed opposite to the pixel electrodes 71, 72 and a liquid crystal layer 29 sealed in the gap with the specified width. The light shielding layer 20 is composed of a metal wiring layer 20A with a reflection preventing film 20B formed thereon and further formed so as to overstride mutually neighboring pixel electrodes 71, 72. A part of the reflection preventing film 20B corresponding to a void space between the pixel electrodes 71, 72 is removed and the exposed metal wiring layer 20A is composed of the same material as that of the pixel electrodes 71, 72.
