WATER METER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water meter for preventing a glass sheet from becoming misty and preventing a defogging seal for preventing the mistiness from peeling off. SOLUTION: An indication unit 26 has a bottomed cylindrical register box 38 with its upper surface opened, an indication mechanism 33 having pointers 34 or digit wheels 35, etc. and housed in the register box 38, the glass sheet 40 rested on a glass-plate-resting step part 42 formed on the periphery of an opening part in the register box 38 so as to close the opening part in an upper surface part of the register box 38, the defogging seal 44 stuck on an under surface of the glass sheet 40, and an O-ring 43 sandwiched between the step part 42 and the defogging seal 44 stuck on the glass sheet 40 for pressing the defogging seal 44 so as to keep water-tight the interior of the indication unit 26 and to prevent the defogging seal 44 from peeling off.
