FUEL PUMP AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel pump to be easily assembled which prevents a brush from being protruded from a cover part while preventing any damage of each component. SOLUTION: A brush 60 accommodated in a brush chamber 35 of a cover part 30 is constituted as a sub assembly integrated with a terminal body 71, a plate 72 and a wire 51. A counter-spring side of the brush 60 is supported by the plate 72 to constitute the sub assembly, and even if the urging force in a direction of a motor part 20 to the brush 60 from a spring 41 accommodated in a spring chamber 34 of the cover part 30 is applied when the sub assembly is assembled to the cover part 30, the movement of the brush 60 is restrained by the plate 72. Therefore, the urging force of the spring 41 is applied to the plate 72, any damage of the wire 51 by a concentrated load is prevented, and protrusion of the brush 60 from the cover part 30 is prevented.
