Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To separate or recover, from super hard alloy scrap, cobalt and tungsten and, if present, tantalum and/or niobium at high rates at extremely reduced cost and operating loads. SOLUTION: As the super hard alloy scrap, that having a ratio of passage through a sieve of 1 mm sieve opening of ≥98wt.% is prepared. After the super hard alloy scrap is treated with a mineral-acid solution to elute the cobalt into the mineral-acid solution, solid-liquid separation is carried out to obtain the mineral-acid solution containing the cobalt and the scrap from which the cobalt is removed.
