Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-peptidic GnRH agent inhibiting the activity of gonadotropin-releasing hormone, and to provide a pharmaceutical composition containing the agent. SOLUTION: The non-peptidic GnRH agent is a compound of formula(I)[ e.g. 5-(1,1,3,3,6-pentamethyl-1,3-dihydro-isobenzofuran-5-ylmethyl)-furan-2-carboxylic acid (2,4,6-trimethoxy-pyrimidin-5-yl)-amide ] or a compound of formula(II)[ e.g. N-(2-ä[3-(dimethylamino)propyl]amino}-4,6-dimethoxypyrimidin-5-yl)-5-[(3,3,4,6,-tetramethyl-2,3-dihydro-1-benzofuran-7-yl)methyl]-2-furamide ]. The pharmaceutical composition, when expressing gonadotropin release inhibition, is useful for treating the reproduction disorders and steroid hormone dependent tumors and modulating the fertility of mammals.
