Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase marking speed of a marking device using an electromagnet. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a tip member 6 for giving impact on an object to be marked, an electromagnet 7 for driving the tip member 6, and a power supply circuit 9 for supplying electric power to the electromagnet 7. The power supply circuit 9 is provided with a control switch 12 connected to the electromagnet 7 in series, means 10, 11 for applying voltage U7higher than a nominal voltage of the electromagnet 7 to the electromagnet 7, and a current limiter 13 arranged to maintain intensity of current I7in the electromagnet 7 below a designated threshold.
