Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a boring control method for boring a deep hole, while minimizing machining time and the number of steps of a machine tool. SOLUTION: This boring control method for the machine tool bores the deep hole from a reference point R of a Z-axis direction desired by a workpiece up to a hole bottom Zf, while normally detecting load torque of the tool by using a torque detection means. The boring control method including: continuing the boring till the load torque exceeds a prescribed torque limit value fixed in advance in each step Sn; performing a boring condition constituted of the number S of rotation of a main shaft to be rotational speed of the tool and feed speed F of the tool under a fixed boring condition constituted of prescribed patterns; and providing a condition in which the whole number:f of the steps does not exceed the limit number:N of steps fixed in advance, in the boring process, is secured.
