Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method for hydrogenating an aromatic amine in the presence of a ruthenium-containing supported catalyst in order to acquire a desired alicyclic amine with high selectivity. SOLUTION: The carrier of this catalyst has a BET surface area within a range being more than 30 m2/g and less than 70 m2/g, the pore volume exceeding 50% of the carrier comprises macropores having a pore size exceeding 50 nm and the pore volume of below 50% of the carrier comprises mesopores having a pore size of 2 to 50 nm.
