Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid conditions of moisture condensation in a connecting terminal case and to prevent decrease in insulation performance. SOLUTION: The maintenance method for communication cable conductors is carried out by installing a humidity controlling material which can absorb and discharge water vapor in a connecting terminal case containing a plurality of conductors to connect communication cables from base station centers so as to decrease the water vapor pressure in the connecting terminal case. The humidity controlling material satisfies the conditions that even when the atmosphere of the connecting terminal case is always at 100% relative humidity (RH), the inside of the connecting terminal case does not reach 100% RH for at least five days or longer, and the material has the volume and weight which enable the material to be housed in the connecting terminal case.
