DISK-SHAPED INFORMATION RECORDING MEDIUM AND INFORMATION RECORDING METHOD USING THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flexible and removable magnetic recording medium enabling stable head travelling and also high density recording by a perpendicular magnetic recording system. SOLUTION: A disk-shaped information recording medium is characterized in that at least a phase transition type optical recording layer and a magneto optical recording layer are formed in this sequence on at least one side face of a support object. An information recording method using the disk-shaped information recording medium is characterized in that a tracking signal recorded on the magneto optical recording layer in advance is read by light and a tracking servo control is performed, and at the same time recording and reading of information for this medium is performed by the light to the phase transition optical recording layer.
