Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound recorder which informs an user of error in the case that sound recording is started with an input source incorrectly set. SOLUTION: The sound recorder is provided with a first means which monitors whether a sound signal level amplified by an input amplifier is being lower than a first discrimination level for a first prescribed period or not and monitors whether the sound signal level amplified by the input amplifier is being higher than a prescribed second discrimination level for the first prescribed period or not, a second means which informs the user of an abnormal recording state in the case that the sound signal level amplified by the input amplifier is being lower than the first discrimination level for the first prescribed period, and a third means which informs the user of an abnormal recording state in the case that the sound signal level amplified by the input amplifier is being higher than the prescribed second discrimination level for the first prescribed period.
