ROLLING GUIDE TYPE HINGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hinge, in which a contact surface is not abraded and by which the distance and opening/closing speed of the vertical movement of a door are adjusted. SOLUTION: The hinge 1 is installed to the door 100 and frames 200 on the wall side and the floor side respectively, and the hinge has a lifting-lowering body 2 constituted so as to be moved in the vertical direction Z and a bearing 3 when the hinge is rotated around the central axis O of rotation. The lifting- lowering body 2 has a raceway surface 21 changing in the vertical direction Z on the circumference of a circle C centering around the axis O. Ball bearings with outer rings 31 capable of moving the raceway surface 21 in the direction of the circumference of the circle C by a linear contact with the raceway surface 21 and a revolution are used as the bearings 3. Since the raceway surface is guided by the rotation of the outer rings, the contact surfaces are not abraded by slidings. Since the raceway surface and the outer rings are line-contacted, the angle of inclination of the raceway surface can be changed freely, and the opening/closing force and opening/closing characteristics of the door can be set freely.
