BELT CONVEYOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt conveyor with a belt removable by releasing the shaft of a loosely reducing pulley at its locked side and turning it in a plane on the lower part of a return belt around one shaft end. SOLUTION: A drive unit including a driving motor 10, a driving pulley 11 and a reducing pulley is provided at an almost central portion of a frame 1, and the driving motor 10 is supported by a side plate 8 extending to the upper part of the frame and the belt 5, when travelling, is pressed at its reverse face against the driving pulley by the reducing pulley. The reducing pulley 17 and the loosely reducing pulley 18 are arranged on one side of the driving pulley 11 and on the other, respectively. The shaft 19 of the loosely reducing pulley is turnably supported at one end on the delivery side of the return belt by a rod end bearing 30 provided on one side plate, and it is removably latched at the other end by a catch clip provided on the other side plate. In removing the belt, the shaft of the loosely reducing pulley is released at its latched side and then turned in the horizontal plane on the lower part of the return belt around one shaft end to make the belt 5 loose.
