MICROWAVE THERAPY APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microwave therapy apparatus capable of easily adjusting impedance, being used in the optimum state, and having high therapy effect. SOLUTION: A basic bottom part of a helical antenna is tapered for matching impedance of a transmission line and the antenna, which dispenses with a matching unit. A sheath is mounted on the antenna, and slid to continuously adjust the impedance of the antenna. Further the reflected wave from a living body S is detected and its level is displayed to effectively perform the therapy by properly keeping a distance between the antenna and the patient. Further the distance between the antenna and the living body is properly kept when a gauge or an antenna cover mounted on an irradiating part 1 is brought into contact with the living body. Further a reflector is rotatably mounted on the transmission line, whereby the torsional force is not generated on the transmission line even when the operation is performed while holding the reflector, and the breakage hardly occurs.
