ELECTRONIC ENDOSCOPE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic endoscope apparatus which properly corresponds to the state of an external peripheral device. SOLUTION: A video processor 4 constituting the electronic endoscope apparatus can output a video signal picked up with a CCD incorporated in an electronic endoscope to a monitor (1) 5A by selecting the contact (b) of a selector 71, and can further output a video signal from a filing device (1) 5E functioning as the external peripheral device to the monitor (1) 5A by selecting the contact (a) of the selector 71. A CPU 44 detects whether the filing device (1) 5E is normal via an FPGA 78 constituting a state detection part 67. In the case the device (1) 5E is abnormal, an image displayed on the monitor (1) 5A is forcedly switched from a picture by the filing device (1) 5E to a picture picked up by the CCD of the electronic endoscope for dispensing with a switching operation by an operator, etc. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
