Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transformed plant utilizable in a method for exterminating insect pests and to provide a method for exterminating insect pests by using the transformed plant. SOLUTION: The transformed plant of Arabidopsis improved in HPL enzyme activity and improved in a natural enemy-attracting function can be obtained by inducing a HPL gene derived from Capsicum annuum in a sense direction. The transformed plant of Arabidopsis in which HPL activity is lowered and the accumulated amount of an isothiocyanate compound harmful for insect pests is increased can be obtained by inducing HPL gene derived from Arabidopsis in an antisense direction.
