OPTICAL PICKUP DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup device which has a small number of components and a variable form mirror with which an aberration is corrected with a high degree of accuracy. SOLUTION: The optical pickup device is provided with a laser light source 11, a parallel optical system 13 which converts a laser luminous flux emitted from the laser light source 11 into a parallel laser luminous flux, a variable form reflection surface 14a, a variable form mirror 14 which reflects the parallel laser luminous flux on the reflection surface 14a and converts by 90 degrees, and an objective lens 15 which focuses the converted laser luminous flux on an optical recording medium 17. The reflection surface 14a of the variable form mirror 14 is deformed so as to correct the aberration caused at the optical recording medium 17. The form of the deformed reflection surface 14a is symmetry with respect to two deformation lines which extend along the reflection surface 14a and orthogonal to each other. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
