METHOD OF REPAIRING DAMAGE TRACE ON VEHICULAR WINDOW GLASS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of repairing a damage trace on a vehicular window glass, maintaining a stable qualified condition and preventing the position of the repaired damage trace from being detected for a long time. SOLUTION: The method comprises the steps of (a) filling liquid fillers 3, 4 into a gap 23 formed by he damage trace 2 through a scar 21 of the damage trace 2 on the window glass surface side and hardening the fillers; (b) applying a silicon-containing liquid 5a onto a window glass surface 11 including the scar 21 of the damage trace 2 after the previous step and hardening the silicon- containing liquid material 5a to form a transparent glassy coating 5 integrated with the window glass 1, and (1) a step of polishing the glassy coating 5 for removing an extra glassy coating portion 51 existing on the window glass surface 11 to be smoothed.
