MOTOR AND DISC DRIVE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor in which good rotation can be sustained by suppressing the outflow of the lubricant over aging through a simple arrangement, and a disc drive comprising it. SOLUTION: The motor 1 comprises a rotor section 4 and a stator section 2. The stator section 2 comprises a bearing 21, a bearing fixing bolt 22 for supporting the bearing 21 under a state secured to a feed chassis 220, and a stator core 23 applied with a coil 24. The rotor section 4 comprises a rotary shaft 41 supported rotatably by the bearing 21, a disc-like turntable 42 coupled with the rotary shaft 41 and mounting an optical disc, a yoke 43, a permanent magnet 44, and a part 45 for securing the upper end part of the rotary shaft 41. The rotary shaft 41 comprises an oil impregnated shaft where pores of a porous sintered body are impregnated with lubricant and the bearing 21 is composed of solid metal not permeating lubricant.
