SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal display element equipped with a polarizing plate on the outside of two electrode substrates placed opposite to each other, the liquid crystal display device uses a polymer film with 5.0×10-13-25.0×10-13cm2/dyne photoelastic coefficient as a supporting body corresponding to the electrode substrate side of the polarizing plate.
