Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a TNF production promoter which is derived from a natural plant, a safe raw food material having dietary experiences, and is useful as an immunopotentiator, a prophylactic and/or therapeutic agent for infectious diseases and an antitumor agent. SOLUTION: Extracts of lemon grass is found to have a TNF production promoting action. The TNF production promoter comprises extracts of lemon grass. The TNF production promoter can be used for foods and drinks, for pharmaceuticals, or for domestic animals or pets. Preferably, the extracts of lemon grass can be extracted using an organic solvent such as acetone, ethanol, ethyl acetate, hexane or the like. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
