COLORING MATTER FOR THERMAL TRANSFER RECORDING, INK FOR THERMAL TRANSFER RECORDING AND SHEET FOR THERMAL TRANSFER RECORDING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coloring matter for thermal transfer recording which generally has excellent performances on all the characteristics required for the coloring matter for the thermal transfer recording, especially has high sensitivity and high recording density, clear color tone of a recorded article, and high stability of the recorded article, an ink for the thermal transfer recording using this coloring matter for the thermal transfer recording, and a sheet for the thermal transfer recording. SOLUTION: The coloring matter for the thermal transfer recording expressed by formula (I) (wherein a ring A is a benzene ring; R2is H, Br or the like; R3is an alkylcarbonyloxy group, an alkoxycarbonyloxy group, an arylcarbonyloxy group, or an aryloxycarbonyloxy group.), the ink for the thermal transfer recording comprising this coloring matter for the thermal transfer recording and a medium, and the sheet for the thermal transfer recording forming a coloring material layer comprising this coloring matter for the thermal transfer recording and a binder on a substrate, are provided.
