Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for manufacturing a stator coil which can raise the charge percentage of each coil conductor when coils into are inserted slots of a stator iron core of a rotating electric machine. SOLUTION: One stator coil is made by forming a lateral alignment coil or lateral alignment coils in each of which coil conductors are wound in one stage or one over another in a plurality of stages and aligned closely in the axial direction of a coil on a bobbin, by one piece or a plurality of pieces in succession; this aligned winding coil is carried into the iron core of a stator held with a holder; the side of its coil side is opposed to a slot aperture at the inside periphery of the iron core of the stator; and the side of the coil end is pulled down outward from inside the iron core so as to insert the side of the coil side into the slot of the stator iron core.
