Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the contrast of screen without using any touch panel, and to detect a position instructed by a pointing device. SOLUTION: Changing means (10, 30, 40, 50) whose screens are divided into a plurality of display regions display specific display patterns for those respective areas, and temporally changes the light intensity of the display areas at displaying the display patterns. A measuring means 90 approaches any of the display areas, and measure the temporal change of light intensity in the approached display area. A detecting means 60 refers to the temporal change of the light intensity of the display pattern and the measured temporal change of the light intensity, and detects whether the measuring means is approaching which display area among the display areas.
