Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device in which reduction of display quality due to optical leakage currents is prevented, and its driving method. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device is provided with a plurality of signal lines 11 which transmit a display signal, a plurality of pixel electrodes 4 which are arranged in a matrix shape corresponding to pixels and a plurality of TFT 1 (thin film transistors 1), each source electrode (S) of whose source electrodes and each drain electrode (D) of whose drain electrodes are connected respectively to the signal line 11 and a corresponding pixel electrode 4. A correction signal generating circuit 15 supplies a correction signal for generating an inverse optical leakage current which has a polarity opposite to that of an optical leakage current to be generated between the signal line 11 and the corresponding pixel electrode 4 to each pixel electrode 4 via a correction signal line 13 and a corresponding TFT 2.
