Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a COG cooling method for controlling the temperature of COG to cause no deposition of naphthalene, depending on a change in COG generation amount and a change in cooling water temperature, and the temperature of cooling water to hardly cause high-temperature corrosion in cooling pipes. SOLUTION: The cooling method using sea water for indirectly cooling the COG with a number of cooling pipes comprises controlling the flow rate of the cooling water flowing in the cooling pipes depending on the COG amount and the cooling water temperature and shielding part of the cooling pipes to control the heat exchanging area thereof so that the cooling temperature of the COG is a preset temperature or higher to cause no deposition of naphthalene and the outlet temperature of the cooling water is a preset temperature or lower to hardly cause the high-temperature corrosion.
