SUPPORTING DEVICE FOR ROCKER ARM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supporting device for a rocker arm capable of supporting deformation and wear of a washer and sharply improving assembly workability of the washer to the rocker arm. SOLUTION: A support device for a rocker arm supports a rocker arm 16 having a bearing part 23 and driving an engine valve 7 for an internal combustion engine 1 in a cylinder head 2. The device comprises a plurality of shaft holders 21 mounted on a cylinder head 2; a rocker shaft 13 supported by a plurality of the shaft holders 21 and rockably supporting the rocker arm 16, through a bearing part 23 and a lock piece 27 between a pair of shaft holders 21 and 21; and washers 22 mounted on the bearing part 23 of the rocker arm 16 and the one of the ends opposite to each other of the bearing part 23 of the rocker arm 16 in a manner to be situated between the one and the other. A lock part 25 to relatively rotatively lock the washers 22 through the lock pieces 27 is formed at the one end part. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
