Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wooden quake-resisting wall with a deformation- absorbing layer exhibiting the effect of controlling earthquakes by not only having high strength, but also having tenacity and the ability to absorb energy. SOLUTION: The wooden quake-resisting wall 3 is positioned within a plane surrounded by columns 1 and beams 2, with a clearance secured between the outer periphery of the wall and the inner surfaces of the columns and beams to accommodate the deformation-absorbing layer 4. The clearance is filled with an adhesive having a lower Young's modulus than the wooden quake- resisting wall to secure the wall to the columns and beams. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
