COUNTER-IMPRESSION CYLINDER AT REVERSING DEVICE OF SHEET- FEED PRESS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a counter-impression cylinder 10 at a reversing device 16 of a sheet-feed press, which correctly delivers the rear edge of a sheet with high precision to a gripped device 20 of a reversing drum positioned behind the counter-impression cylinder even when the printing velocity is high, by improving the reversing device 16 of such a type that the sheet 4 to be printed at a printing gap 14 arranged against the cylinder 10 is lifted from the cylinder 10, by gripping the rear edge of the sheet 4 by the gripper device 20 so as to reverse the sheet 4, after the sheet 4 is conveyed along the outer peripheral face 22 of the cylinder 10 at the reversing device 16. SOLUTION: The outer peripheral face 22 of the counter-impression cylinder 10 has a plurality of notches 24 in the region of the sheet rear edge, and the gripper device 20 finds its way into the notches 24 so as to grip the rear edge of the sheet. The positions of the notches 24 are variable in the circumferential direction so that the positions fit various stamping patterns. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
