Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backer for a decorative material which is so stuck as to be positioned between a woody plate such as plywood and the decorative material and which reduces the indentation due to falling of a thing or running of a caster and prevents warping and deformation of the decorative woody plate and further peeling of the decorative material from the woody plate. SOLUTION: The backer for the decorative material has, as a component layer, a polybutylene terephthalate layer which is obtained by a T-die type extrusion molding method and of which the melting point measured in conformity with JIS K 7121 is 220-228°C.
