ADSORBENT-PACKED LAYER APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple adsorbent-packed layer apparatus preferably usable for treatment of an object gas to be treated with considerable load fluctuation and safely adsorbing organic halides represented with dioxins only by itself at a high efficiency. SOLUTION: The adsorbent-packed layer apparatus is for removing organic halides contained in a flue gas after dust removal and comprises a plurality of packed layers, e.g. two layers, of an adsorbent partitioned by ventilative partitions 4. In the case of treatment by successively bringing the flue gas containing organic halides into contact with one layer to the other layer, the speed of updating the adsorbent in the packed layer 2 in the flue gas introduction side is made relatively higher and the speed of updating the adsorbent in the packed layer 3 in the flue gas discharge side is made relatively lower.
