PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an unnecessary fabric presser bar retract to a standby position where it does not become an obstacle at the time of binding. SOLUTION: The fabric presser bar 68 which presses the waist part of a body fabric for trousers is connected with twin rods 61a and 61b of an air cylinder 61 for fabric pressing. By a retracting movement or an advancing movement of the air cylinder 61, the fabric presser bar 68 is switched between a pressing position 68(p) for pressing the waist part of the body fabric for trousers and a standby position 68(t) above the pressing position 68(p). In addition, the fabric presser bar 68 is constituted to be horizontally turnable through a pivotally supporting pin 69 having a flange. Therefore, when the fabric presser bar 68 is not required, an operator can make the fabric presser bar 68 retract from the standby position 68(t) to an evacuating position 68(e) which is horizontally turned at approximate 180° by a manual operation.
