PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To implement a panel that can prevent an erroneous discharge in adjacent discharge spaces and allows efficient and sufficient evacuation of discharge spaces. SOLUTION: The plasma display panel has two substrates opposed with a plurality of barrier ribs 4 in between to form the discharge spaces 5, and a plurality of auxiliary barrier ribs 14 disposed between the barrier ribs 4 separately from the barrier ribs 4, wherein the auxiliary barrier ribs 14 have concaves 15 in portions opposed to the barrier ribs 4 in a sectional form parallel to the substrates. The panel thus can prevent an erroneous discharge in adjacent discharge spaces and allows efficient and sufficient evacuation of the discharge spaces. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
