Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming an image by which an image with high image density and high picture quality can be formed in the process of forming an image by developing an electrostatic latent image formed on the photosensitive layer of a photoreceptor with single component toner. SOLUTION: The surfaces of the toner particles are coated with inorganic fine powder and organic fine powder. The number [NI] of species of the inorganic fine powder is 2 to 5, while the number [N0] of species of the organic fine powder is 1 to 3. The total weight [WI] of the inorganic fine powder and the total weight [W0] of the organic fine powder with respect to 100 parts by weight of the toner particles, the arithmetical mean particle diameter [DI] obtained by dividing the sum of the mean particle size of each inorganic fine powder by NI, and the arithmetical mean particle diameter [D0] obtained by dividing the sum of the mean particle diameter of each organic fine powder by N0satisfy the following relations of (1), (2) and (3). They are: (1) 2.0≤WI≤5.0; (2) 0.01≤W0≤2.0; and (3) 0.1≤(D0×W0)/(DI×WI)≤5. The absolute charge amount [q (μC/g)] of the toner is specified to 1 to 40, and the absolute product [|q d|] of the charge amount [q (μC/g)] and the layer thickness [d (mm)] of the toner carried on a developing roller is specified to 0.01 to 1.
