Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling device and a method efficiently cooling a cooling object by using refrigerant in a pressurized and supercooled state. SOLUTION: This cooling device is provided with a cooling part 33 cooling the cooling object 34, a first heat exchange means 10 guiding the refrigerant returned therefrom by own pressure to a cooling side and cooling the fluid in the side to be cooled, a pressurizing means 15 pressurizing the fluid from the cooling side of the first heat exchanging means 10 and then feeding it to the side to be cooled of the first heat exchanged means 10, a second heat exchange means guiding the fluid cooled by the first heat exchange means 10 to the side to be cooled and cooling it by the fluid in the cooling side whose vapor phase part is decompressed to the pressure lower than the cooling side of the first heat exchange means 10, and decompression means 25 decompressing the vapor phase part in the cooling side of the second heat exchange means 20. This cooling device feeds the fluid of the supercooled temperature cooled by the second exchange means 20, preferably a temperature near the freezing point, as a pressurized refrigerant.
