ELECTRODIALYSIS APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus which generates acid/alkali from an neutral salt by a new system of electrolytic dissociation using no bipolar membrane or which concentrates and regenerates the acid or the alkali. SOLUTION: In the electrodialysis apparatus, cation exchange membranes and anion exchange membranes are alternately arranged between an anode and a cathode to form a plurality of chambers. An anode chamber is defined by the anode and the cation exchange membrane. A pair of chambers in which an acid chamber, an electrolytic dissociation chamber, an alkali chamber and a hydrolysis chamber are successively arranged from an anode side, are arranged adjacent to the anode chamber or two or more pairs thereof are repeatedly arranged.
