METHOD FOR REPAIRING UMBRELLA RIB AND TOOL USED FOR THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for readily repairing an umbrella rib and a tool used for the same. SOLUTION: The method for repairing the umbrella rib has (a) a process for temporarily fixing an umbrella at a position where the umbrella is slightly folded, (b) a process for applying a reinforcement fitting, which is composed of a metal plate with a U-shaped cross section having protrusions at the upper ends of the metal plate, to a broken rib, and (c) a process for applying a calking tool having two leg portions and an arcuate part connecting them, which has notches provided at the leg portions and facing to each other, to the reinforcement fitting, and calking the protrusions by the notches.
