Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a superior demagnetization effect as compared with a conventional technology without increasing the size of an exciting coil. SOLUTION: A method and apparatus for demagnetization is such that an AC exciting current containing a current having a frequency lower than that of a commercial AC power supply is supplied to the exciting coil to demagnetize the exciting coil by an alternating field having a frequency lower than that of the commercial AC power supply.
