Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor in which the whitening (gelation) of the coating liquid is not caused during manufacturing the electrophotographic photoreceptor by using a polycarbonate grafted copolymer hardly causing crystallization or gelation and having excellent mechanical strength and wear resistance as a binder resin in the photosensitive layer, the adhesiveness between the conductive substrate and the photosensitive layer and the wear resistance of the photoreceptor surface are improved, the life of the photoreceptor is extended, and superior electrophotographic characteristics are maintained even for repeated long-term use. SOLUTION: In the electrophotographic photoreceptor having the photosensitive layer comprising a charge generating substance, a charge transfer substance and a binder resin formed on a conductive substrate, the photosensitive layer contains a polycarbonate-based grafted copolymer as the binder resin which is obtained from allyl group-containing polycarbonate or maleic acid anhydride modified polycarbonate as the source material.
