CONNECTING STRUCTURE OF VIADUCT DRAIN PIPE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the connecting structure of a viaduct drain pipe in which the intrusion of fallen leaves and dust to a catch basin is prevented. SOLUTION: A section where the catch basin 5 on the drain lower pipe side fixed to a pier section and a drain upper pipe 4 fixed on the viaduct roadbed-surface side are fitted loosely is covered with a catch-basin cap 6. It is preferable that a rubber joint section is installed between the cap 6 and the drain upper pipe 4 and both end sections of the cap 6 are fixed to the catch basin 5 and the drain upper pipe 4 by bands and sections between both end sections are formed in a bellows structure. Alternately, a slit for inserting the drain upper pipe 4 can also be formed to the cap 6. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
