AUTOMATIC RESPONDER IN CABLE TELEVISION STATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic responder in a cable television station which automatically processes the channel contract/cancel in the cable television station. SOLUTION: A cable television station 1 comprises a head end equipment 7 and an audience controller 9 for setting up receiving channels for a home terminal 4 at a subscriber's home through the head end equipment 7. When a subscriber wishes to newly contract/cancel a receiving channel, the automatic responder 10 is called by a telephone 11, prompts the subscriber in voice to input data showing a subscriber identification number, a channel number, and either a new contract or the cancel of the channel, and outputs the inputted data to the audience controller 9. Upon receipt of the inputted data, the audience controller 9 automatically changes the channel setting of the home terminal 4 at the subscriber's home. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
