PORTABLE ELECTRONIC DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable electronic device capable of easily being mounted on an ear without holding a device body in hand or attaching the device body on an arm while calling or listening to sounds. SOLUTION: The device is provided with a holding member having a band for attaching the device on the arm, the device body 3 having the sound generating function, an ear hook section 4 for hooking the device body 3 on the ear, and a movable connection section for movably mounting the section 4 on the device body 3. The holding member is provided with an attaching recessed portion for attaching the device body 3 detachably, with the section 4 housed closely to the outer periphery of the device main body 3. Accordingly, the device body 3 is detachably attached on the attaching recessed portion of the holding member and this holding member is attached on the arm by the band, and thus, the device body 3 can be carried with it attached on the arm similarly to a wrist watch. Also, in making a call, the device body 3 is detached from the attaching recessed portion of the holding member and is mounted on the ear with the section 4. In this way, the device can easily be mounted on the ear to make a call suitably without holding the device body 3 in hand or attaching the device body 3 on an arm. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
