Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a fluolescent material layer with precision and uniformity, even in case of a minute electric discharge cell structure. SOLUTION: A fluolescent material ink 14 is ejected from nozzles 19 between barrier ribs 9, and coating is carried out with the fluolescent material ink 14 while applying a voltage to the data electrode 8 between barrier ribs 9. By this, even if an electrostatic charge is created between the ribs when the fluolescent material ink 14 is discharged from the nozzles 19, it becomes possible to form the fluolescent material layer between the barrier ribs 9 precisely and uniformly.
