APPARATUS FOR VEHICLE ALLOCATION MANAGEMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently allocate a taxi to a taxi-allocation requested place responding to a vehicle allocation request for the taxi from a cellular phone terminal user. SOLUTION: When a cellular-phone terminal 1 requests a taxi company to allocate the taxi, a vehicle allocation management system 4 of a vehicle allocation management apparatus 3 in the taxi company selects all 'vacant' taxis which are within a fixed distance from the cellular-phone terminal 1, according to cellular-phone terminal position information included in the vehicle allocation request from the cellular-phone terminal 1, based on position information and an occupied/unoccupied information of a taxi 2 which are stored in a moving vehicle information database 7, and sends vehicle allocation confirming information. When no respond has been made from the taxis, the distance is gradually expanded, and a taxi which returns a vehicle allocation confirming OK first is allocated.
