SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device is constituted so that the optimum common voltage applied to a common electrode in a white gradation level and the optimum common voltage applied to the common electrode in a black gradation level may be satisfied with the condition of [ä(the optimum common voltage of white gradation) - (the optimum common voltage of black gradation)} ≤ (the setting value)]. In addition, the liquid crystal display device is constituted so that the common voltage applied to the common electrode and the optimum common voltage applied to the common electrode in the black gradation level may be satisfied with the condition of [ä(the common voltage) -(the optimum common voltage of the black gradation)} ≤ (the setting value)].
