SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device is constituted so that the optimum common voltage applied to a common electrode in a white gradation level and the optimum common voltage applied to the common electrode in a black gradation level may be satisfied with the condition of [ä(the optimum common voltage of white gradation) - (the optimum common voltage of black gradation)} ≤ (the setting value)].
