Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method which enables the formation of a picture having high picture concentration and high picture quality and is used suitably for a small-sized and high speed image forming device in the formation of the picture by developing an electrostatic latent image formed in a photosensitive layer of a photoreceptor by means of the toner. SOLUTION: In the image forming method, a photosensitive layer contains oxytitanium phthalocyanine having the maximum diffraction peak at the Bragg angle (2θ±0.2°) 27.3° in an X-ray diffraction spectrum as a charge generating agent and the toner contains any multiple oxide which is selected from a group consisting of the following multiple oxides (1)-(5) as a colorant: (1) a multiple oxide containing any manganese element of tetravalent, trivalent or tetravalent/ bivalent and trivalent iron element, (2) a multiple oxide containing bivalent manganese element and trivalent iron element, (3) a multiple oxide containing bivalent copper element and trivalent iron element, (4) a multiple oxide containing bivalent copper element and trivalent chromium element and (5) a multiple oxide containing bivalent copper element, trivalent iron element and trivalent chromium element.
