Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slit plate in which initial adjustment is easily performed, error detection hardly occurs, and error operation does not occur in encoder output, and to provide a rotary encoder using the same. SOLUTION: The slit plate for the rotary encoder is provided with a reinforcing inclined bridges in which slits are inclined to the radial direction. The reinforcing inclined bridges are arranged so that the waveforms of transmitted light quantity due to the reinforcing inclined bridges do not change at least between a predetermined length CD in the slit plate and the rotary encoder using the same.
