Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transparent thermal recording medium having high transparency, generating no sticking phenomenon and excellent in recording running properties. SOLUTION: The transparent thermal recording medium is constituted by successively providing a thermal color forming layer and a protective layer, which comprises a cured layer comprising an active energy beam curable resin composition, on a translucent or transparent substrate. The haze value of the thermal recording medium is not more than 40%, the pencil scratch hardness of the protective layer is not less than 2H and the slide angle of inclination of the surface of the protective layer is not more than 40°.
